Palette Wool Scarf — Our Tie-Dye Wool Scarf
A wool scarf is an essential accessory for the winter season. Soft to the touch and naturally warm, it keeps you comfortable even in cold weather.
Wool is a natural fiber known for its excellent insulation and its ability to resist static electricity. Our scarf is made from high-quality, 100% fine combed wool, offering great strength, elasticity, and a smooth, refined feel. Each piece is tie-dyed using traditional tie-dye techniques, and we offer two color options for you to choose from.
During colder seasons, this tie-dyed wool scarf helps maintain body temperature effectively. Thanks to the moderate thickness of the wool fibers and their naturally high crimp, the material contains abundant tiny air pockets. These create a dense insulating layer that blocks cold air while trapping the warmth released by your body, providing exceptional thermal protection.
Additionally, wool has excellent moisture-absorption and breathability. Its natural ability to absorb moisture from the air and from perspiration helps keep your skin dry and comfortable, making it ideal for transitioning between indoor and outdoor environments throughout the day.
At the same time, the unique fiber structure allows for great airflow, preventing discomfort from sweat and helping you stay comfortable at all times.
Wool also offers impressive elasticity, maintaining its shape well and resisting wear caused by daily friction. Our tie-dyed wool scarf provides not only warmth but also an added layer of protection for your neck during cold weather.
*Please note: Pure wool products may feel slightly coarse to the touch, and individuals with extremely sensitive skin may experience mild itchiness with prolonged wear. For these users, we recommend wearing the scarf primarily during outdoor activities or when needed for warmth.
Care Instructions: Washing, Drying & Storage
*Although wool scarves are essential winter accessories, improper washing may cause deformation, stiffness, or a reduction in their insulating properties. Following proper care methods is essential to extend the lifespan of your wool scarf.
Before Washing – Important Notes
- For high-end wool scarves, professional dry cleaning is recommended whenever possible.
- Tie-dyed wool scarves may experience slight color bleeding. Please wash separately from light-colored garments and textiles.
Hand Washing Instructions:
- Remove surface dust - Gently shake or pat the scarf to remove dust and loose particles before washing.
- Prepare lukewarm water - Fill a basin with water at approximately 30°C (86°F). Ensure there is enough water to fully submerge the scarf.
- Add detergent - Avoid detergents containing alkali or chlorine. Use a wool-specific detergent, adding an appropriate amount and mixing well.
- Wash gently - Submerge the scarf and gently press and squeeze by hand. *Do not rub, wring, or scrub, and avoid using washboards or harsh motions.
- Rinse thoroughly - Rinse with clean water until all detergent residue is completely removed.
Drying Instructions:
- After washing, hang the scarf to air dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
- Avoid direct sunlight.
- Do not tumble dry, as this may cause shrinkage or deformation.
How to Restore a Wool Scarf That Has Become Stiff?
If your wool scarf becomes stiff due to improper washing, you may try one of the following methods:
Method 1: Hot Water Softening
Fully immerse the scarf in boiling water. You may add a small amount of mild soap. Boil for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and air dry.
Method 2: White Vinegar Soak
Add a small amount of edible white vinegar to clean water. Soak the scarf for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. This method softens the fibers without leaving a vinegar smell.
Method 3: Steam Softening
Wrap the scarf in a clean white cloth and place it in a steamer. Add water and steam for 10 minutes. Remove, gently shake, and reshape the scarf, then air dry naturally.
Daily Care & Storage Tips:
- Avoid friction with rough surfaces to prevent pilling.
- When not in use for extended periods, fold neatly and store in a dry, well-ventilated place.
- Regularly remove surface dust using a soft-bristle brush to keep the scarf clean.
